Driver's Cars, Automotive History, Working On Old Cars
- Max has owned three Porsche 944s, and is trying not to relapse... again.
- His Mazdaspeed Protegé once won a car show award for "Best Mazda" because it was the only Mazda at the entire event.
- In college, he interviewed journalist Matt Farah as well as several legendary Southern California drag racers of the '60s and '70s for his university magazine.
Experience
Ever since trading his dad's old Dodge Dakota pickup for a non-running, rat-poop infested '69 Mustang Coupe at 15 years old, Max has been on the automotive journalism trajectory. The first semester he started college, he got his first car writing gig, and has since done daily reporting at TorqueNews, feature writing at HotCars, and even script writing for Ideal Media on YouTube with millions of followers. His years of expertise center around drivers' cars and automotive history, but he's covered just about anything under the four-wheeled umbrella.
Education
Max has a bachelor's degree in News/Editorial Journalism from Western Washington University. He also conducted a concentration in political science.
