Dave's first driving experience was in a 1968 Volvo 142, which launched his obsession with the Swedish brand.
He's owned over 40 cars, including a 5.0 Fox Body Mustang, the one vehicle he still regrets selling.
His recent project cars include a first-generation Nissan Leaf and a New Edge Ford Mustang (with 265,000 miles), both of which are now roadworthy.

Dave's professional life has always involved writing, including governmental and business communications positions. At the same time, he dove into the automotive world through auctions, project cars, and a passion for car culture. This led to a lasting desire to write about automobiles for a living. After a career pivot, Dave has been living the dream — covering the auto industry, vehicle highlights, related lifestyle stories, and more. He uses his under-the-hood experience, a dealership background, extensive ownership know-how, and lifelong love for cars to produce compelling stories for enthusiasts and consumers.
