Here's Every Car That Debuted At The New York International Auto Show
I won't go so far as to say car shows are back, but the 2026 New York International Auto Show could definitely be a bit of an indication that the tides are turning, at least a little bit. At this year's show, we were treated to nine car reveals as well as a handful of special trim unveilings. That may not sound like a lot compared to where things were a decade or so ago, but it's certainly more than it's been in the past few years. Hell, we even got a first look at a surprise bona fide concept vehicle from Hyundai that — honestly — stole the show. I couldn't even tell you the last time something like that happened at the New York Auto Show. I for sure wasn't in the industry at that point.
Of course, there were still dozens upon dozens of regular, run-of-the-mill cars to look at, sit in and interact with, but that's not why we're here right now. Today, we're taking a look at the biggest (read: all of the) reveals of the 2026 New York International Auto Show.
2027 Chrysler Pacifica
I'd say we're starting off our roundup with a bang, but that's really not the truth. Due to the alphabetical dominance of the Chrysler brand, the 2027 Pacifica gets top billing on our list despite the fact that not much has changed for the model's second refresh. Really, nothing behind the hood changes at all between this car and the one it replaces. In front, though, buyers now get vertical headlights, a new grille and bumper treatment and a new, more minimalist Chrysler badge that I'm not really sold on just yet. I guess there are some new wheel options, too, but whatever.
Other than that, everything remains the same, including the 287-horsepower Pentastar V6, nine-speed automatic, available all-wheel-drive and Stow n' Go seating. The automaker did reshuffle its "lineup" ever so slightly, dropping the Voyager for the entry-level Pacifica LX. Prices start at $43,490 (just $100 more expensive than the Voyager), and they stretch all the way up to $60,250 for the Pacifica Pinnacle AWD. Thrilling, I know.
Hyundai Boulder concept
Next up is a car that is far more exciting than the Pacifica and is — in reality — the most exciting debut of the 2026 NYIAS: the Hyundai Boulder concept. It's a sick-ass body-on-frame SUV designed with America in mind and named after the Colorado town. It's clearly here to take a bite out of the market built by the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco with its 37-inch tires wrapped around 18-inch wheels, long-travel suspension and "impressive" ground clearance.
It has other really sick touches like safari windows, a dual-hinged tailgate and a hell of a lot of customization options. Apparently, the idea is that no two Boulders would ever look the same, based on how many owners would be able to make the SUVs their own.
During the unveiling, Hyundai CEO José Muñoz said the Boulder "[reflects] a core American value: Freedom. Freedom of movement, freedom of expression, freedom to dream." It's not technically confirmed to be produced alongside a body-on-frame truck that has been officially confirmed, but I'd be pretty shocked if it di dn't make its way onto dealer lots at some point.
Hyundai has proven it knows how to build a great economy car, a great performance car, a great luxury car and a great crossover. Now, it's time to see if it can build a real, body-on-frame off-roader.

2027 Infiniti QX65
Alright, back to the more mundane reveals. The Infiniti QX65 is meant to recapture some of the magic of the original Infiniti FX of the early 2000s. While it sort of looks the part from certain angles, it doesn't quite get there, does it? First of all, the FX was always touted as quite a driver's car in the world of mid-size crossovers. I'll be driving the QX65 later this month, so I'll reserve full judgment until then, but I'm not so sure it's going to stack up favorably. I mean, just from a power perspective, it makes 22 fewer horsepower than the base-level FX35 made 23 years ago. That's rough, dude. Add in the fact that it's running on an ancient front-wheel drive architecture, and things aren't looking much better.
At the very least, the interior seems to be a rather nice place to be, especially on the top-trim Autograph model. It looks like a nice mix of both usable screens and hard buttons for the Luddites out there who aren't interested in getting with the times.
Since its exterior pulls heavily from the FX, it's also a fairly good-looking car, though the front-wheel drive underpinnings are hard to ignore. At the very least, it's tens of thousands of dollars cheaper than its size-appropriate competition like the BMW X6, Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe and Genesis GV80 Coupe. Prices start at $55,535, including destination, and they stretch all the way up to $64,135 for the Autograph, before you add any additional options.

2027 Kia EV3
Woo! More excitement! Kia's little EV3 electric hatchback is coming to America, and this was our first look at the U.S.-spec version of the car. It'll be available with all sorts of neat features not commonly found on cars this size, and the range will top out at about 320 miles. We're also getting a 288-horsepower EV3 GT a bit later down the line, as well.
The car runs on a 400-volt version of HMG's E-GMP platform, rather than the faster-charging 800-volt setup. The base "Light" trim has a 58.3-kWh battery (which can DC-fast charge from 10% to 80% in 29 minutes) that Kia says will give the EV3 220 miles of range. Above that car, though, every other trim level gets a healthier 81.4-kWh battery pack (which DC-fast charges from 10-80% in 31 minutes) that boosts range to 320 miles if you opt for the front-wheel drive version of the car.
Right now, there's no word on power levels for the FWD car, but the optional all-wheel-drive EV3 brings power to 261 hp. Along with the added power, going for the GT gives buyers sport-tuned suspension and steering, as well as fake gear shifts and active sound design — similar to what we've seen in other Kia and Hyundai performance EVs.
On the inside, you get twin 12.3-inch displays that'll serve as a digital gauge cluster and center infotainment screen. Between those two is a 5-inch climate-control display. Overall, it's a very Kia interior, which is definitely not a bad thing. It's minimalist without being dreary.
There's no word on pricing just yet, so stay tuned for that.

Kia-BraunAbility PV5 WAV taxi
While not the most exciting car of the lot, Kia and BraunAbility's wheelchair-accessible PV5 taxi is definitely one of the most interesting. What we've got here is an Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant concept taxi that is meant to show how the PV5 can be turned into a wheelchair-accessible taxi and rideshare vehicle, and it's not just a concept car. Kia says the model was created with real-world production feasibility in mind.
It used something the PV5 already brought to the table — a low step-in height well-suited for everyday taxi operations and wheelchair entry — as a stepping stone. The two companies then focused on improving mobility for passengers, drivers and wheelchair users. The concept vehicle includes integrated tie-downs and passenger restraints to help keep passengers' mobility devices in place.
They apparently used feedback from wheelchair users and mobility advocates, and they're planning on more real-world evaluations in New York, as they develop the PV5 further.
I think the PV5, on a very basic level, would be a fantastic New York City taxi. I mean, right off the bat, it would be far better than the Nissan NV200s and Ford Transit Connects we've got running around now.
2027 Kia Seltos
The 2027 Kia Seltos may not be exciting, but it is important. The company sold nearly 57,000 of them last year, which is nothing to sneeze at. Now, it's following up that bargain-basement sales success with a second generation that pulls heavily from the newly launched Telluride. That's a very good thing.
It'll now offer a new off-road-focused X-Line and a hybrid, as well. And, it'll carry on the two powertrains it previously had: a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter inline-four, which puts out 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque and a turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-four that cranks the power up to 190 hp. The former sends power through a CVT and the latter does so through an eight-speed automatic transmission. The turbo is only available on the X-Line trim with AWD for 2027, and AWD is an option for the base motor. The Seltos Hybrid will borrow its running gear from the Kia Niro Hybrid, meaning it'll team up a 1.6-liter inline-four and a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with a small electric motor.
The new Seltos is now 1.8 inches longer than the car it replaces, which means interior room grows in just about every metric. Speaking of the interior, the car has dual 12.3-inch screens serving as a digital gauge cluster and center infotainment screen. It's also got all sorts of standard safety and driver assist features, as well as enough luxury-ish creature comforts and interesting designs to make you feel like you bought something special.

2027 Subaru Forester Wilderness Hybrid
Two of the best things Subaru makes are its Wilderness vehicles and its hybrids, so it only makes sense that the company would finally bring the two together in the form of the 2027 Forester Wilderness Hybrid. Subaru says this new car will deliver 25% better fuel economy (around 32 mpg) than the standard one, and the fact that it loses its, honestly, gutless engine makes a big difference, too. Subaru won't put its turbocharged 2.4-liter flat-four in the Forester, so this is the next best thing if you're after power, if you ask me.
In any case, this car comes with a Toyota-derived, but highly modified, hybrid system. Gas power comes courtesy of Subaru's 2.5-liter boxer-four, but two electric motor generators integrated into the car's CVT and 1.1-kWh battery pack mounted under the cargo floor are bolted up to it. With this system, the Forester Wilderness Hybrid is able to keep its full-time symmetrical AWD. All in all, it pumps out 194 horsepower — up from 180 in the regular Forester Wilderness.
Off-road enthusiasts will be happy to know that there's no ground clearance penalty for picking the Hybrid. It remains exactly the same as the gas car at 9.3 inches. Approach and departure angles remain unchanged, as well. The only difference is a slightly worse breakover angle, but I think it's a worthy tradeoff to make. Expect Subaru to sell exactly 11 billion of these things in the coming years.

2027 Subaru Getaway
The Forester Wilderness Hybrid wasn't Subaru's only debut at the show. It also pulled the covers off its latest EV, the seven-passenger Getaway crossover. It's based heavily on the new Toyota Highlander EV, and Subaru says it's "perfect for a rapid getaway with room for the whole family on a blast through Yellowstone." Rapid definitely makes sense here, because its dual-motor setup packs a punch: 420 horsepower and a 0-60 time under 5 seconds, to be exact.
Because of Subaru and Toyota's differing AWD philosophies, the Highlander EV makes 82 fewer horsepower than the Getaway since it's got a smaller rear motor. The Getaway, on the other hand, has identical motors on the front and rear axles — borrowed from the Trailseeker. Subaru says it can tow up to 3,500 pounds and has 8.3 inches of ground clearance. Despite this, the 95.8-kWh battery can still carry 300 miles of range. Not too shabby. It'll come as standard with a NACS charging port and the ability to DC fast-charge from 10-80% in about 30 minutes.
Subaru did a pretty good job of hiding the car's Toyota roots on the outside. It's pretty damn handsome, if you ask me, and it doesn't look nearly as big as its three rows of seats would have you believe. Inside, it's as Toyota-ish as you'd imagine. That's not exactly a bad thing. Subaru interiors have never really been anything to write home about, and this seems like a relatively nice place to be.

2027 Volkswagen Atlas
Rounding out the new car reveal of the New York International Auto Show is the 2027 Volkswagen Atlas. While it may not be the most thrilling car in the world, it's definitely a pivotal one for VW. Luckily, things look promising. It's got a far more upscale look both inside and out for its sophomore generation with plenty of bold, yet subtle styling, nicer materials and slightly longer dimensions to boot.
Power is up as well... sort of. The retuned EA888 turbocharged four-popper now puts out 282 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. That's up 13 hp from the old car, but it loses 15 lb-ft of torque. What can you do? It'll still be more than enough to lug around your five kids, awful spouse and all of their crap, thanks to its unchanged payload and towing capabilities. There's also a hybrid coming, but it won't be until the mid-cycle refresh a few years from now.
Technology is much improved for this new generation, thanks to a standard 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster and 15-inch infotainment touchscreen (it's 12.9 inches in the standard car). Volkswagen also went to work at reshuffling some of the layout of the interior to open up more space for larger cupholders, more chargers and bigger dials. Who doesn't love that?

The packages
Not every reveal at this year's Auto Show was a new car. There were a handful that were just special editions and trims of already-existing vehicles. Still, that counts as a reveal in my book, but I don't have the mental fortitude to write out a full synopsis of each of them.
2027 Ford Expedition 30th Anniversary Appearance Package
This was by far my favorite because of its simplicity. The Ford Expedition, an SUV Ford really didn't need to celebrate, turns 30 in 2027. But, it wanted to commemorate the occasion, so it gave it a coat of the best paint in its entire lineup — Blue Ember metallic tri-coat off the Mustang Dark Horse — and called it a day.
Sure, it added a few badges inside and out, and it gets a uniquely painted wheel option, but that's really it. Still, I like it because this truck and I are just about the same age. We've grown up together. Kudos to you, 2027 Ford Expedition 30th Anniversary Appearance Package.
2027 Genesis GV70 Prestige Graphite trim
Do you love the Genesis GV70 but wish it had more carbon fiber and was gray? Well, the Korean automaker is hooking you up with the 2027 GV70 Prestige Graphite trim level. On the outside, it gives the compact crossover red brake calipers, gloss black mirror caps and other dark chrome and gloss black exterior accents. Additionally, you can either pick from Ceres Blue Matte or Bering Blue paint colors.
Inside, you'll find Ultramarine Nappa leather seating with suede inserts, lots of carbon fiber interior trim pieces and a unique startup animation. It's very exciting, I know.
2026 Dodge Durango GT America250 edition
This right here is certainly the silliest special edition vehicle at the show. Why Dodge decided to be vaguely subtle with the Durango GT America250 edition is beyond me, but here we are. It's available with either a Pentastar V6 or 5.7-liter Hemi V8, and looks pretty much like a regular Durango on the outside. Sure, it comes with some American flag decals and badging and dual stripes, but that's pretty much it. It also comes in red, white or blue — but not all three at the same time, which is a missed opportunity.
On the inside, you'll find an American flag embossed on the front seats, as well as red and white stitching on the steering wheel. It's fine. It's whatever. America is in a rough spot right now. I can't wait to ask this car where it was on January 6.
