David has been a professional L.A.–based writer and editor for more than two decades, serving as Editor-in-Chief of two California magazines and three national titles. His byline has appeared on nearly two dozen major automotive sites as well as in outlets like Variety and Out Magazine. He's also ghostwritten for Hollywood A-listers and worked as a staff editor at The Hollywood Reporter, where his reporting was syndicated in Billboard and Adweek. As an auto journalist, David's adventures have taken him off-roading in Malibu, touring Detroit's storied auto factories, and covering Corvette C8 unveilings in Orange County and Cape Canaveral. In 2025, he joined Static Media to write features for one of his longtime favorite automotive sites, Jalopnik.
