What Car Would Have Been Unthinkable 25 Years Ago?

One of the things I love about covering the auto industry is how it's constantly evolving. I might even use the word "dynamic" if I didn't hate it so much. As we saw today, cars change with technology and our expectations. Sometimes that can lead us to unexpected places.

That's our question of the day: What car would have been unthinkable 25 years ago?

Jalopnik reader Matthew Tyzack suggested this question, and he also gave a spot on example: the Porsche Panamera Diesel. For a long, long time, Porsche was just a manufacturer of sports cars. Now they have not only have a four door sedan and two SUVs, some of them can be had with diesel engines. Who'da thunk it?
