Automotive history, military aircraft, anything with an engine
  • Alex has driven everything from forklifts to 100-year-old steam tractors to Ferraris.
  • He's written and edited hundreds of articles for publications like Autoweek Magazine, Hagerty, Jalopnik, and MotorWeek.
  • He has worked at nearly every stage of automotive production, from the assembly line to a brief stint selling cars at a dealership.

Experience

Alex has been writing about anything that moves since 2015 when he bought a 1985 Chrysler LeBaron and fell in love with it. He has lived in Detroit covering automotive news as it happens, driven minivans on racetracks, and once even drove a limousine during his journalistic career. Be it World War II fighter planes, the latest electric cars, or even locomotives, no matter how weird, if it has an engine, Alex is obsessed with it. During a period between writing jobs, Alex drove with a cleanup crew at a landfill.

Education
