Roads Closed By LA County Fires
The LA Times put together a Google Maps mashup of LA county fires as well as a list of dozens of roads closed (below). Why all the road closures? Because driving through fires is really bad for paint jobs.
The Station fire has prompted the closure of dozens of roads, from Pasadena and Altadena north to Acton and the Antelope Valley. Following is a list of some of the road closures:
— Sand Canyon Road at Bear Divide
— Sand Canyon Road at Placerita Canyon Road
— Crown Valley Road at Soledad Canyon Road
— Soledad Canyon Road at California 14
— Agua Dulce Canyon Road at California 14
— Escondido Canyon Road at California 14
— Red Rover Mine Road at California 14
— Sierra Highway at California
— Sierra Highway at Vasquez Canyon Road
— Bouquet Canyon Road at Vasquez Canyon Road
— Sand Canyon Road at Soledad Canyon Road.
— California 2 from La Canada Flintridge north
— Big Tujunga Canyon Road at Mt. Gleason Avenue
— Little Tujunga Road at the ranger station
The following streets are closed from Loma Alta Drive north:
— Lincoln Avenue
— Lake Avenue
— Marengo Avenue
— Fair Oaks Avenue
— Glenrose Avenue
— Olive Avenue
— Thurin Avenue
— Dabney Street
— Angeles Forest Highway at Aliso Canyon Road
— California 2 at Big Pines Highway.
