Penna Man Challenges Jay Leno To A Duel

You know, although we like Corvettes, and we love certain Corvettes, we've never really seen eye-to-eye with just about every 'Vette owner we've ever met. Sure, some of 'em are nice enough and all, but there just tends to be something off about 'em, by and large. Not like, "stab-you-in-the-eye-with-a-napalm-dipped-canap -knife" off, but off nonetheless. So it's not surprising that some retiree from US Steel pitched a fit and challenged Jay Leno's Toronado to a race after the guy saw Leno instructing GM mechanics to cut two 'Vettes in half to underpin his overpowered Olds.

Nevertheless, Leno called the guy and chatted with him, and Vette magazine has offered to pay to bring the codger out to California to run his 600hp '85 'Vette against Leno's Olds. Leno has yet to respond to the challenge, although Leno has called him on a couple of other occasions, always declining the invitation because of "scheduling conflicts."
