North America Is Not Enough: New York Throws Down The World Car Of The Year Cock-Block
New York's Auto Show will see your North American Car/Truck Of the Year award, Detroit — and they'll raise you the rest of the world. Wait — seriously? Yes, seriously. The auto show priding itself in being the "largest-attended" (haven't they been told yet size doesn't matter?) just issued a press release to make sure everyone now knows just how big they actually think they are with their second annual "World Car Of The Year" award. Guess that for them, a continent's just not big enough to hold them, it can only hope to contain them. Vehicles are selected and voted on by an international jury panel comprised of 48 top-level automotive journalists from around the world. The overall 2007 World Car of the Year as well as the winners of the World Performance Car, World Green Car and World Car Design of the Year will be declared on April 5, 2007 during a press conference at the New York International Auto Show.
