Help Wanted, Apply Within

Your pleas have not gone unheard. This weekend's lack of posting has brought to light an obvious hole at Jalopnik we'd like to fill. If you think you're one of the few and proud with the "right stuff," then here's your chance to be a part of the team from the editorial side. Applicants should send nothing but the URL of their blog (or other body of writing, available online) to jobs@jalopnik.com. Also, you'll want to have read the conveniently leaked style guide of our sister site obsessed with Silicon Valley, and found yourself nodding in agreement. The holes needing to be filled — after the jump:

  • Nights & Weekends Editor: A workaholic night owl type with a meth-like addiction to every news source on the planet to keep the site humming at the redline 24/7 and give me a few hours off each day.

  • Associate Editor, West Coast: Strong story selection and writing skills a must for this new position to balance out (with the lovely Murilee and DeBord of course) our heavy East Coast influence. Being tuned-in with the tuner crowd a must.

  • Intern (Detroit): Speed-reading RSS feed readers are strongly encouraged to apply. Bonus points if you've in the past spotted things that end up on our site before they've actually ended up on our site. Must be willing to follow Ben to the ends of the earth.

  • Intern (Anywhere): Same as above, only located pretty much anywhere.
