Elon Musk Claims Tesla Model S Can Be A Boat

In this weekend's Elon Musk Says Some Wild Shit news, the guy claimed that the Tesla Model S can float and, apparently, function as a boat.

Here's the word from the totally-not-crazy-at-all-why-would-you-even-think-that CEO himself.

We *def* don't recommended this, but Model S floats well enough to turn it into a boat for short periods of time. Thrust via wheel rotation.

The same used to be true of VW Beetles, which VW even advertised as being quite watertight.

Of course, the panel gaps and rust spots all those old VW have acquired by now make the trick pretty much impossible. How long until I can say the same about Tesla?
