Dyno Run Says The 2014 Corvette Has 411 Wheel Horsepower
We were all rightfully impressed by the 2014 Corvette Stingray's quoted power claim of 460 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. But how much power is the new Corvette really puttin' down? Turns out quite a bit, Edmunds found out.
Their recent dyno run indicates the Stingray, equipped with the Z51 package and performance exhaust, has 411 horsepower at the wheels at about 5,800 RPM. Peak torque at the wheels is 407 pound-feet at 4,900 RPM.
These are impressive numbers for sure. The best part is that Edmunds did this test in California, which means they did it on California's crappy maximum 91 octane gas. We can't wait to see if anyone does better on superior 93 octane gas in states that aren't run by performance-hating communists. (Joking, of course.)
What do you think of the Stingray's dyno numbers?
Hat tip to Chris!
