Drifting Enthusiast Found After Being Missing For Weeks
Back in January, a drifting enthusiast, Ernesto Aguilar Gonzales (Fred Lump Lump on Instagram), was reported missing after he missed his flight home from Mexico to LA. Nearly three months later, he has been found.
The details are sparse, as the family has requested privacy regarding the matter, but they did take the time to upload the news to Ernesto's Instagram page. The post reads:
1 John 5:14-15
14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
We are blessed and fortunate to share the good news that Ernie has been located and is alive!
Within the next few days, and until we deem a more appropriate time, all his social media accounts will be stopped and shut down. I know there are many questions – questions that may or may not have answers, now or ever. As we begin our attempt to get him home safely and prepare our family for any outcome, we ask for you to respect our privacy.
In saying that we also want to [acknowledge] each person that is reading this message, as each of you have had a part in finding him. For those of you that were able to help financially, thank you. For those that kept us in your thoughts and prayers, thank you. For those that shared our story and connected us to other people and resources, we thank you. Thank you to each and everyone for the way in which you contributed, big & small.
The Gonzalez Family
Ernesto is known for the big, red drift car that you can see on YouTube and on his Instagram.
We are happy that Ernesto has been found and that he will shortly be reunited with his family and friends.
