Commenter Of The Day: A Show About Nothing Edition

You want to feel old? Seinfeld premiered more than two decades ago. One of the few shows about a comedian where he actually got to pretend he was a comedian (instead of a dentist, sports writer or delivery guy), Seinfeld jokingly premised itself as a show about nothing when the character Jerry Seinfeld pitched the show to NBC later in the series. It's probably not how it really happened, but it's probably better than Ash78's COTD pitch for a new Bond series staring an Aston Marin Lagondwagon.

Elevator Pitch.

OK, scene: Swiss Alps. Present day. All of James Bond's ex-girlfriends and their 30-some-odd bastard children (ranging in age from 5-47) get together on facebook and track the man down across four continents.

They finally capture him at the 75-minute mark, then force him to get a laser vasectomy...you know, in a nod to Goldfinger, of course. Then they contract him out as an indentured servant-slash-mercenary in order to pay back all the child support and alimony, so of course he's willing to take on any number of zany and dangerous tasks. Limitless sequel potential.

I call it "On her Majesty's Court-Ordered Service"

DING.

OK, so you'll call me then?

Hey, Ash's return is at least better than The Marriage Ref.
