Well, assuming this one IS for real, it's far more attractive than some of the other post-Bangle revamps. But even though it's not ugly, it's absolutely lost the magic. It looks like the sub-headlight assembly line, which so intimately cupped the lower shape of each lamp of the last model, pre-freshening, only to be simplified into two slack upward curves no longer corresponding to the lights at all, has finally been smoothed into an awkward, halfhearted stutter, neither two curves nor a single smooth one anymore. Oh well, at least the trim around the dual kidneys is of a relatively uniform, sensible thickness, unlike the grilles on some of the earlier nu-Benz abortions. It's the rear that loses me, though. They managed to take the chiseled flanks of the E46 and turn them into what could be the ass end of literally any car that will be built in the next 5 years. The contours from the rear look uninspiring and bland. Maybe next redesign?
