Porsche Panamera Official Photos, Details
Photos of and details about the Porsche Panamera, the company's first modern effort at creating a four-door sedan, have officially leaked all over the web and it looks exactly how we expected it to look. From what we can gather from Google Translator and Auto Telegraaf, the Panamera will first hit the shores in Panamera S and Panamera Turbo trim, each fitted with a 4.8-liter V8 putting out 400 HP and 500 HP, respectively. Both will also get Porsche's PDK 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.Though no diesel version is likely to see production, a 3.6-liter V6 option good for 300 HP and a V6-electric hybrid are in the works for sale at a later date. Given the sedan's unique look, the production numbers seem quite optimistic.

The Booth Professionals of the 2008 Guangzhou International Auto Show
As a result of covering an auto show or two in our time, we've become veritable connoisseurs regarding the mistresses of motors we lovingly refer to as Booth Professionals. We've brought you delightful displays of debutantes from far away locations such as Geneva, Paris, Las Vegas and Detroit. Apologies for the blurry nature of a few of these pictorials, we've got the shakes from a bit of bad Mu Shu pork.

Rural Canadian Wins Koenigsegg CCX, Has No Road To Drive It On
Louie Edgi, a cancer patient currently residing in the horribly frigid area of Norman Wells, Canada, has won the Cash and Cars Lottery, which supports the Alberta Cancer Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society. The prize? A Koenigsegg CCX. The catch? Norman Wells is a remote town up in God's Country with only one 12-kilometer dirt road. And it gets worse.

Commenter Of The Day: Easter Egg Edition
The Easter egg, as a symbol of life and rebirth, works fairly well. Ignoring the Greek and Roman fertility aspects of the egg, it's something that even a child can understand, which is why Christians are so eager to pass them out on Easter Sundays. They even have beeping Easter eggs for the students at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. They even have them on DVDs. The concept is so popular that now you can't buy a DVD of a made-for-Lifetime movie without finding a hidden scene of the cancer-girl-with-druggie-dad singing an acoustic version of "Date With Ikea" in her dressing room. In fact, if you go all the way to China you'll see a not-quite-egg-shaped Chery Eastar Convertible, which Jagvar informs us is on sale. More » -

Man Builds Audi R8 Super Car Out Of A Mercury Cougar
The Audi R8 is one of the most exclusive and beautiful supercars in the world, commanding auto-lust wherever it goes and wherever it's seen. But what if you want an R8 but don't have the $105,000+ to buy one yourself? You could go through the arduous process of designing and building the whole thing from the ground up in your basement, but that would take 17 years. Who has the time? Why not just design an approximation of the R8 around a 2001 Mercury Cougar, fabricate it from fiberglass, and call it the ReplicaAudiR8?

Volvo S80L: Longer, with More Chinese Characters!
Volvo released a China-only S80L version of its S80 sedan at the Guangzhou International Auto Show. Built in Chongqing as part of a Ford/Chang'an joint venture, the L model gains 14 centimeters in length over the standard issue S80. Back in the day, Volvo released its longer luxury versions under the "Executive" moniker, which totally sounds way more boss than just tacking on a measly little consonant. During the unveil, the guys manning the drums in back cranked out a bitchin' rock ballad to the amazement of all. Really. [AutoSohu] -

PickupTrucks.com Live Blogs Ford F-150 Raptor R At Baja 1000
In the scheme of awesome things to do on a November weekend, liveblogging the SCORE Tecate Baja 1000 from a beefed up 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor R is way, way high up on the list. Unfortunately that's not what Mike Levine from PickupTrucks.com is up to but he is relaying reports from SVT which is out in the Mexican desert racing the mostly stock Raptor R in the Class 8 full-size two-wheel-drive truck category. The race has already kicked off and things seem to be going well, we're looking forward to seeing how that 500 HP Raptor R deals with the trials of the desert. [PickupTrucks.com] -

PCH, Cheap Turbo Porsche Edition: Mystery Turbo-ized '77 911 or Gutted '78 930?
Welcome to Project Car Hell, where you choose your eternity by selecting the project that's the coolest... and the most hellish! We saw the '49 Rolls Silver Wraith hold its own against the obviously unbeatable burn-victim Countach, gaining a respectable 41% of the vote in yesterday's Choose Your Eternity poll. Today we need to contemplate a couple of Porsche 911 projects; sure, we see 928s here on a regular basis (for obvious reasons), but it's pretty tough to find a real 911 for a PCH-worthy price. Today we've done even better, with a pair of turbocharged 911s, each priced in used-Honda-Civic territory!
