Avatar photo is not an Offenhauser powered Indy car. In fact, it is one of 10 Indianapolis 500 cars built for Henry Ford by the famous race car designer, Harry Miller. In the form seen here, the car was used to test a prototype of the tremendously powerful NOVI racing engine that ran at the Speedway until the early 1960s.
