"A 5 speed manual isn't very futurist, companies need to start following Nissan's lead with 6 speeds."

      • no_slushbox commented on Can You Afford A Corvette ZR1?

"Unless you are rich, which under $100K a year isn't, there is no point in paying $120K+ for a ZR-1 when a regular 'vette is 80% of what a ZR-1 is for 33% of the price (a base 'vette for a transaction price of $40K would not be hard to find)."

"@layabout: While the rest of the carbon fiber reinforced plastic car crumbles like dry dirt the driver's head is crushed by the steering wheel, the one part of the entire car that was probably made of steel (oops, schteel). Also, ditto on better ways to die."

      • no_slushbox commented on Can You Come Up With A Better Auto Product Placement Plot?

"I would like to see competitor sponsored product placement. For example, a show, sponsored by Audi, where a serial killer goes from state to state tracking down women in his BMW 335i, killing them, and then driving around in his BMW 335i wearing their heads as hats. Or a show sponsored by Honda about a guy that drives a Corolla, lives in his mom's basement, and never gets laid. Or a show sponsored by GM about the life of a man paralyzed in the accident that he had in his Ford pickup. If companies placed their competitor's products in the shows I can guarantee that the shows would be much more interesting."
