The Goldenrod, one of the most famed Land Speed Record cars ever to sniff salt, is headed to the Henry Ford Museum. Featuring four naturally-aspirated Hemis, the car set an FIA two-way record of 409.277, which still stands, although other wheel-driven vehicles have since gone faster, and the jet-powered Thrust SSC driven by Andy Green holds the title of fastest land vehicle in history. But the Goldenrod brought the piston-engined record back to the US, wresting it from Donald Campbell's Bluebird in 1965.
