Neiman Marcus Edition BMW 7-Series Can Be Yours For Just $160,000

Christmas may be months away, but Neiman Marcus has just released their holiday shopping catalog — which, of course, means an overpriced limited-edition luxury car has also been revealed. Following on the heels of last year's Lexus IS F and 2006's 2007 BMW M6 Convertible, this year they'll be offering up the new 2009 BMW 7-Series. Oh joy. Just 31 examples will receive the NM treatment of Champagne Merino leather, Alcantara headliner, and Diopside Black paint. Really though, is there any other way to celebrate the holidays besides buying a $160,000 status symbol? Full catalog description after the jump. More »

The Magnificent Seven: Neiman Marcus Catalog Gets Seven 700NM Venoms

If the Lexus IS F was too common for you, Neiman Marcus will soon be offering seven 700NM Hennessey Venom Dodge Vipers for the low-low price of $179,500, which is approximately the cost of three handbags in their catalog. Unlike the very pedestrian blue-and-white of the previous Hennessey 650R, these precious snakes come in black with a matching black-and-red leather interior. For all that change you get 700 horsepower, 645 lb.-ft. of torque, a day of performance driving school at Lonestar Motorsports Park and a lot to brag about. But as they say in Texas: it ain't braggin if it's true. Take this and a little SRV and you've got quite the weekend. Press release and hi-res photo below.

Lexus IS F for the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book

If it's October, it must be time to see what automotive finery will grace the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book. This year ladies who lunch in West Palm, Dallas and Orange County had better hang on to their cocktail bags — it's the IS F Special Build Sedan. Neiman's $68,000 Lexus "fast" comes with an interior design of black with white accent stitching, a unique steering wheel with white leather accents, front headrests embossed with the F logo, hand-polished finish for the wheels and a sequentially numbered Special Build badge. But wait! There's more! You, or the real-estate developer hubby, also get a personalized half-day of pro-driver training compliments of the Skip Barber Racing School, so winding out the 400-hp, 5.0-liter V8 won't be a matter of downing six dirty martinis before turning donuts in the Breakers parking lot. The special IS F will hit the Neiman phone bank at noon (EDT) on October 18. Start dialing early, because these things are harder to get than a seaweed wrap at the Ritz-Carlton without an appointment. More »

Next Time Dial Faster: Neiman Marcus M6 Sells Out in 92 Seconds

It took a minute and a half for Neiman Marcus to sell out every single one of its special edition BMW M6s. That's no hyperbole; the upscale retailer and caterer to all folks bougie sold all 50 Bimmers, at $139,000 a pop, in 1:32, mostly by phone. Psychologists say the Ruby Black exterior finish accented with Piano Black trim elements, and power sports seats wrapped in a custom Gold Brown shade of supple BMW Individual Merino leather penetrated the psyches of the idle rich, causing a kind of madness called Bimmentia. Go, scarcity economics, it's your birthday... More »

Neiman Marcus to Sell Flying Cars For Christmas!

Lexus schmexus! The real news in Needless Markups' annual Christmas Book is that they're offering up limited slots to buy yourself or someone you love a M400 Skycar including the prototype. We know we've been slacking on the flying car news, and for that Denton has lashed us to the oars and forced us to row him back and forth across the Delaware River as he makes like Washington (he's even got a custom wooden grill gold teeth are so 2003, after all) until somebody came to our rescue. And that rescuer is our old friend CTE. CTE, if we were Denton instead of us, we'd buy you a Skycar for Christmas on the condition that you don't drive it like your Focus, pal. More »

Lexus GS 450h Hybrid Gets Neiman Marcus Edition

Last year, the Neiman Marcus limited-edition Maserati Quattroporte flew off the shelves like G&Ts at the last Gawker holiday party.
