According to leaked documents obtained by Edmunds Inside Line the next Mini, due in 2007, will come in six flavors. In addition to the current three-door and cabrio models, the line will include five-door, roadster, pickup and wagon models, in two wheelbase lengths. Brits of a certain age will remember the vanlike Mini Clubman and British Leyland Mini pickups, to which the new models would be a kind of homage. The extended, five-door model will have rear-hinged "suicide" doors in the rear, and the roadster will have a removable hardtop. But don't run out and sell the apple cart right yet — we won't see any such line extensions until at least 2008.
