    Geigercars Corvette Z06 Black Edition

With a name like Geigercars you'd expect this suped up Corvette Z06 would be covered in a biomechanical horror show, but instead it's a blacked out menace. The German tuning haus squeezed the big 7.0 liter V8 and it responded with a stout 592 HP. They even tossed in a rather nice tail piece to liven things up in the rear. Pity about the blackened lights and all, rather chavvish, but still, that's a mighty snazzy looking Z06. [WorldCar Fans]

The Only Place Col. John Smith Would Drive This is Through a Wall: The Geiger H2 Hannibal

25,000 euros in engine mods and you don't even get the blower? This, friends, is what we call taking advantage of the rich and stupid. It's essentally a port and polish job with a lumpier cam and sturdier valvetrain. Then, you can feel free to spend the extra ducats on a supercharger to get the adverised 598 horsepower. The Hannibal also comes with a lift kit that raises the truck around 8" and a bunch of stainless steel claptrap. Frankly, you could do all of the important crap, if you supplied a little of your own elbow grease, for around 10k. Then again, we think most Hummer owners don't yank motors in their spare time. In any regard, this plan may have come together, but we'd rather have a gray, black and red van, thank you. More »

GeigerCars Messes With the Chrysler 300C SRT8

Those lovable scamps at Germany's GeigerCars have turned their horsepower-getting attention toward the Euro-spec Chrysler 300C SRT8. But before you get creeped out by that oddball wagon (pictured), remember that Europeans have been bestowed the 300C Touring, which is half a Dodge Magnum. Regardless, they've taken the SRT8's 6.1 liter HEMI V8 and added a supercharger, watercooled intercooler and high performance exhaust system, and rejiggered the engine computer to recognize all that new gear. The result is a boost in horsepower from 430 hp to 556 hp, and more torque than an Oktoberfest waitress (500 ft.-lbs). The result is a zero-to-62 mph (100 km/h) range of 4.7 seconds and an estimated max speed of 186 mph. Z-rated tires and 22" rims complete the makeover More »

Geiger Cars Tunes Texas Sheriff's Hummer H2

One Texas sheriff, who apparently has some Boss Hogg—level municipal bux at his disposal, engaged German tuning house Geiger Cars to build him the fastest Hummer ever. The Geiger boys responded by adding their signature supercharger, engine-mod and software setup to the H2's 7.0-liter mill, creating a 700hp monster with 667 ft.-lbs of torque. They also wrapped 28" of chrome jewelry in Kumho tires, lowered the ride height and otherwise tricked out the suspension and brakes. Now the H2's on its way back to Tejas, where it'll be fitted with requisite communications equipment, hood-mounted longhorn and, possibly, a fake fire hydrant or two. More »

Ach! Corvette Zee Oh Zix, Mit Tuning Package, Redux

The M nchener Corvette tweakers at GeigerCars have released a new photo set of their C6 kit. It's the convertible version of the company's SC 524 Kompressor, which is a C6 that's been upclocked to 524 hp and a peak torque rating of 470 ft.-lbs using a Eaton screw-type supercharger and, well, that's pretty much it. The company claims zero-to-62 mph (100 km/h) times of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 202 mph (!). Turnkey cars start at the equivalent of around $100,000. Oxygen mask and "Top Gun" soundtrack CD not included. More »

Ach! Corvette Zee Oh Zix, Mit Tuning Package

No, the chili dog and the Chrysler 300C aren't the only products of German-American teamwork worth talking about; Teutonic tuner Geiger Cars is offering a new package for the Corvette Z06 that upgrades the All American sports car for autobahn storming. As if the Z06 wasn't already 'bahn worthy, Geiger adds 37hp (to 542 total) by adding a bunch of breathing-related components, and remapping the engine software. Still, top speed is only increased to 203mph from the stock model's 198mph, though body kit and suspension tweaks increase high-speed stability. While prices vary for the company's tuning products, a turnkey car will cost in the ballpark of one-twelve-five franks — an awful lot of relish for incremental improvements. More »
