Ferrari F430 Wrecked In Metro Detroit Suburb

Canton Center Road lies in the sleepy little Detroit suburb of Canton, and, aside from people wrecking brand new Ferrari F430's outside of the Post Office, not much happens there. If you've never been to the little burg, the scene of this crash isn't surrounded by any curves, hills, trees, blocked views...or anything, really — just a couple of posts protecting a fire hydrant. Apparently that was enough of a target for this 430's driver after tangling with a Nissan Sentra, of all things. Must have been delivering express mail.

Michael Schumacher Shows Off Ferrari California On The Nürburgring

As much as we'd like to see retired F1 champ Michael Schumacher grab a Ferrari by the neck and toss it around the Green Hell, that's not what happened here. Rather, this clip shows a bit of the recent Ferrari Racing Days at the Nürburgring in which Schumi shills for the new Ferrari California by cruising around the modern racing section of the track. That's right, there's no on-board footage of a hot lap around the old Nordschleife, but that's probably a good thing as far as Ferrari is concerned, since the decidedly soft California would probably only make an embarrassment of itself. Video after the jump.

Ferrari California, Live, Naked And In High-Resolution

We've seen the newFerrari California pretty much every way you can see it. We've seen it rendered, rendered in a rainbow, showing us how it goes topless, going outside for some sun, in video dropping its top, crash-tested, in a load of detail, behind-the-scenes at a photo shoot, live at its first reveal, a sneak early peek at it on the Paris Motor Show stage. Also we've seen it broiled, fried and steamed. But now we've seen it for ourselves — live and in living color. So, after all this anticipation — what do we think? Hmm... meh.

Ferrari California Gets Disrobed Early In Paris

We've already seen a lot of the 2009 Ferrari California, but the Paris Motor Show will be our first chance to savor the new stallion up close. Ruining our fun is the crew at Asphalte.ch, who appear to have bribed their way onto the floor ahead of the official reveal to grab some up close photos of the California. These photos show a lot of what we've seen before but add that great shot of the trunk open, revealing the space needed to tuck away the hardtop convertible's roof.

Ferrari Motorcycle Fails To Appreciate Ferrari Brand

The latest lame amateur motorcycle design to hit the web is this concept Ferrari, designed by Israeli design student Amir Glinik. In keeping with his genre’s established parameters, it’s a complete non-starter function-wise, but does have a cool looking Enzo-based V4 engine, which seems to put people into a tizzy. We don’t know what it is about freshman motorcycle designs. Why do people with no knowledge of or passion for bikes create them? Why do they have such resonance with a mass audience, with the blogosphere constantly picking them up despite their lack of real engineering, real design and good looks? If everyone is so fascinated with bikes, why aren’t they just really into cool new bikes like the Quantya Strada?

Ferrari Sedan Designed By Fanboy; We'll Take A Pinin Instead

With the likes of the Porsche Panamera, Aston Martin Rapide and Lamborghini Estoque super sedans coming to the Paris Motor Show, it made sense for young Russian designer Krasnov Igor to render up his idea of what a Ferrari four-door should look like. Thankfully, there likely won't be such a product, but if there will, we sure hope it doesn't look much like Igor's design. One could argue that the basic shape, if you squint, isn't all that bad, but the roof treatment and rear end completely ruin the rest of the package, and the wavy body panels make BMW's flame-surfacing look tame.

524 Magical Miles Across India...In A Ferrari

Driving across all of India would be a challenging adventure in any vehicle, but as our friends at Car and Driver found out, being tasked with doing it in a Ferrari is a completely different proposition. They were among the few selected to drive a pair of Ferrari 612 Scagliettis around the sub-continent for a 524-mile stretch of the 7000-mile Magic India Discovery Tour. Since the adventure, the car has been auctioned off for charity, but as you can tell from the excerpt below, the memories of the journey will likely stay with them forever.

Ferrari F430 Scuderia Spider Accidentally Revealed In Low Resolution

One year after Ferrari lifted the sheet on the F430 Scuderia, thanks to it being sneakily dropped into last week's official live reveal of the Ferrari California, we're getting the first glimpse of the drop-top version — the Ferrari F430 Scuderia Spider. We'd have caught it ourselves however we were too busy trying to prop our eyes open with toothpicks. We're told we may be able to expect the reveal of the new topless stallion as early as November 5th when the Ferrari Challenge at Mugello begins — or even at the Paris Motor Show next month. More details below the jump. More »

The Coolest Ferrari Film You'll Ever See That Isn't A Commercial

This vintage 8mm film brings us back to a time when a classic Ferrari was something you actually drove and had fun with, not something you locked up in a bank vault-like garage. Titled "The Great Putdown," it's no over-produced commercial shilling for Shell. Instead, it has a star-studded cast of Ferraris including a 250 California Spyder and a 250 GTO. Taking place on famous winding bends of Mulholland Drive in the Los Angeles area, the film has a raw edge that perfectly captures a golden era of motoring. [via YouTube]

Ferrari California, Really Revealed, Live!

Ferrari will be broadcasting the live reveal of the Ferrari California, which really should be called "Live From Maranello, It's The Ferrari California!" Unfortunately, it's just a streaming live video, but it starts right now. Anyway, we'll be watching it — even though we saw the photo shoot shots already — and those other live photos — but whatever, we'll have screen caps and video up from the live reveal shortly. [FerrariCalifornia]
UPDATE: A few guys showed up. Felipe Massa, Kimi Raikkonen, and um... what's his name... oh yeah, Michael Schumacher.
UPDATE 2: Schumi drove a California onto the stage, with Ferrari Chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo riding shotgun. The two yacked on about passion and heritage and technology for quite awhile. Then Luca told Felipe and Kimi that it was their bedtime, but dessert time for all the grown-ups.
UPDATE 3: We were going to post some video clips, but to be honest, the live feed really sucked. If you don't believe us, it looks like they're replaying it again right now. Perhaps Ferrari is still getting the hang of this whole "internet" thing.
